ZOE-M8B GNSS SiP ideal for small battery powered devices

The ZOE-M8B is u-blox’s ultra small, highly integrated GNSS System in Package (SiP) sized just 4.5 x 4.5 x 1.0 mm. Making use of Super-Efficient (Super-E) mode, ZOE-M8B offers an ideal balance between miniature size, low power consumption and good GNSS performance. The innovative Super‑Efficient (Super‑E) mode cuts the power consumption to as low as 12 mW while making one position update every second, and with hardly any loss in accuracy. It matches high positioning accuracy with ultra-low power to deliver an optimized solution for small battery powered devices targeting the fitness and health monitoring, and personal tracker markets.

The ZOE-M8B is the latest addition to the ZOE-M8 GNSS module family, which consists of the ZOE-M8G for 1.8 volt powered devices and the ZOE-M8Q for 3.0 volt devices, both with focus on maximum accuracy. ZOE-M8B samples are available in mid-November 2017 and ZOE-M8Q is available in the end of September 2017.
